Pot Kiln Extra Curricular clubs

Independent, confident and successful learners

Whilst Covid has played havoc with many things, one of the things in our school which has been impacted over the last two years is our abilities to provide clubs and extra curricular activities.

We run a variety of clubs in the past, and extra curricular activities, before school, during lunchtime and after school for children in Years R – 6. The choice of club can change termly and these will be advertised to parents accordingly.  Children have the opportunity to sign up to a new club at the start of each term. We aim to provide a range of provision that will appeal to all children so that every child can find a club that interests them. Inevitably, we are often over subscribed, but the club organisers do have waiting lists, so please do not give up hope!

Clubs running currently in Summer 2023 are:

Beginners Gymnastics – after school with Mrs Mitchell
Advanced Gymnastics – after school with Christine Baylaam
Forest School Club – after school with Mrs Gray
Crochet Club – after school with Mrs Edwards
Football – after school with Ian our sports coach from Maxim Sports
Basketball – after school with a coach
We are also part of the Royal Shakespeare’s company’s outreach to schools and work with one of our secondary school’s on an annual performance. Our Year 5 pupils perform one of Shakespeare’s plays alongside other schools in July.
We also take our Year 6 pupils on a residential trip to Mersea Island and enjoy Outdoor and Adventurous Activities in the Summer term.
