Home Learning
We will be using the learning platforms to encourage home learning this year. Please ensure you download the Tapestry APP for children in Nursery, Reception and Year 1 when this comes home in the early Autumn term 2021. For children in Year 2-6 you will to download the Seesaw APP.
Teachers will set home learning on these APPs which will be tasks for your child to do. You can either send the results of their work into school on paper or upload them to the APP.
We, of course, will also be sending reading books home and phonics work where this is appropriate to your child. Please do support this by reading to and with your child at least 4 times a week. If your child is in Year 3-6 they will also have access to Times Table Rockstars and do support your child with learning their number bonds to 10 and 20 in the younger years and their multiplication tables in the older years. Again, if you need any help with any home learning, please talk to your class teacher.
Years One to Six
In Years one to six we use Seesaw to set work and provide feedback. Your child’s class teacher will have provided you with the relevant log in information. You will need to download the ‘Seesaw Class’ app.
